Re: Uninstall Program

Hello pocashworth and welcome to the McAfee Community Forums!

For instructions on UNINSTALLING searchqu, please check out the information given at the following link:

It provides instructions for removing it from Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Google Chrome.

*A note of cautionIn the last section where it describes removing searchqu's associated REGISTRY values manually (which is optional)...I strongly suggest you do NOT attempt to alter your registry without expert guidance from an experienced person who knows what they are doing!  Registry issues can be tricky and it's very easy to end up with serious system problems!

Please post back here and let us know if your problem has been resolved or if you need additional help!

Re: Uninstall Program

@pocashworth : did Pete C's suggestion help? This one is tenacious, and keeps coming back if you don't delete all the relevant programs and files. It's essential to get rid of iLivid, Bandoo and Searchqu - there is an uninstall.exe for this but it's in the relevant program folder.

If you are having trouble removing it boot up into Safe Mode (use F8 during the startup).

The following threads contain suggestions for removing it (some work, some don't; read through carefully).

Re: Uninstall Program

Hello Everybody!

@pocashworth- my name is John, and I'm a member of the Searchqu Support Team. I'm here to help

When the software installed onto your pc it offered two basic installs, typical installation,

which lists the add-on features such as searchqu default search, and Custom installation,

which allows you to select the add-ons that you wish to install. There's no need to worry if you did the typical install - this isn't a virus,

nor malware, and there's no need to Perform a virus scan against it.

In order to uninstall Searchqu from your PC please follow the next instructions:

1.Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > look for windows searchqu toolbar > Uninstall

2. For step by step Video instructions on how to uninstall, please see our demonstration:

If you followed the instructions and still can't find a solution to the issue,

please don't hesitate to let us know and we will walk you through it

Thanks John for clarifying this.  I've moved the thread to General Discussion.
