Total Protection 2010 program permissions

Ok this is really stressing me out and is very annoying. How the hell do i access program permissions in the 2010 version.where is.png

Another issue i'm having is that even if i press turn on. when i go back into the firewall settings it always resorts to this. I.E. it keeps turning itself off

1. Permissions are at home (top right) Web and email protection and firewall.

The firewall should be on try to turn on what happens? Ok see it cames back to this so do you have another firewall active?

Run MVT here

http://service.mcafee.com/TechSupportHome.aspx?lc=1033&sg=TS

Note session number if it cannot fix this.

I would uninstall and reinstall via

http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?lc=1033&id=TS100507

But maybe better to contact Tech Chat via the 1st link above and see what they can see. They would need the session number as well.

Re: Total Protection 2010 program permissions

Hi Danny,

Open McAfee Security Center. If it asks you to turn on the Firewall, click Dismiss.  You will see the Firewall, then Settings. Click Turn On right there. It turns on the Firewall and it will stay on.

For Program Permissions. After turning on the Firewall, scroll down until you see Internet Connections for Programs. Click on that for Program Permissions.

Hi Danny,

What is the Security Center build for McAfee total Protection 2010?

What is the version of Windows 7 and Service Pack Level installed?

Re: Total Protection 2010 program permissions

The tp4.5 supported it tp4.0 did not. IE6 is Internet explorer 6 was asking if he used it but as on win 7 would not be so.
