Re: Removal tool for Windows 7...?

Use the MCPR tool, see this article: How to remove supported McAfee consumer products using the McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool (MC...  This will remove all McAfee remnants from your computer.  (You must have Windows 7,  Vista, XP or 2000, SP4 to use this tool)

Valid for Consumer (Home) products only.

The FAQ's need to be updated, sorry about that.

Re: Removal tool for Windows 7...?

It works for me OK.  Here's the direct link:  http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?lc=1033&id=TS100507

or the download itself:  http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

or attached.

I've alerted the appropriate department to update such FAQ's.

Re: Removal tool for Windows 7...?

Ok, i uninstalled McAfee security, rebooted & used the removal tool but uninstall was incomplete. I tried this twice but same thing, is this known to be compatible with Windows 7 or is there something else i need to do...

Thanks...

Re: Removal tool for Windows 7...?

Did you reboot immediately after running MCPR?   Try running it a second time.

Re: Removal tool for Windows 7...?

Hello

Try to run the removal tool in safe mode with networking. Should definitely work...
