Reformating?

I reformat my three computers quite often and this hasn't been an issue yet. I just reformated one of my computers and when i went to download macafee from their website it said that i am currently using 6 out of 3 of my active subscriptions and it wont let me download the program. So now im stuck with no security until this issue has been resolved. How can I have even installed it the 4th, 5th, 6th times to begin with if this was their policy that you can't reformat?

ya i was planning on doing that but it wasn't an issue before so i thought they may have changed their policy or something

I really don't know anything about the licensing side.  I know it's per machine, that's all.
