Real time protection blocking cookies?

So, recently I had a scheduled scan run (last night), but for some reason it says my last scan was on the 1st.

Also, last nights scheduled scan, it found a cookie (adtmt), and no scans have ran since then, and I had 3278 cookies, now I have 3280, but I haven't had a scan run since last night..

Re: Real time protection blocking cookies?

Unless you tell it not to, real time scanner will remove tracking cookies.

If you want to stop that (most tracking cookies are harmless - it's how websites remember you).

Double-click the taskbar icon to open SecurityCenter

Click Virus and Spyware Protection

Click Real-Time Scanning

Under Threats, uncheck Tracking Cookies

Click Apply

Re: Real time protection blocking cookies?

Anyway to find out where it removes them (and what cookies they are)? because I usually go on facebook, malwarebytes forums, sometimes other websites, but I have google chrome so it blocks third party cookies, and I have blocked the website adtmt and doubleclick under chrome, but not Opera.

Although opera's internet settings are very bad.
