When starting up Windows xp and pressing the start button i find the internet explorer symbol is missing. In its place is a box called Internet Properties. Although if i go to control panel i can see that i am connected to the internet but cannot access it. I can juggle a few buttons here and there and get internet page up but the toolbar for the Internet supplier is missing. If i go to tools and select internet options the screen there shows everything as ok. Any ideas as to how i get internet explorer back on the start menu would be greatly appreciated. Would putting an XP disc back in operation solve this Or would i maybe be better off loading Chrome or Firefox
Moved this out of Top Threats (it's not exactly a current malware threat). It's in General Discussion now.
If the IE icon isn't on the desktop :
If it's not in the Start Menu :
(you need to select "Start Menu" not "Classic Start Menu" for this to work)Message was edited by: Hayton on 31/05/12 18:56:13 IST
