My McAfee 3-User Internet Security says it's deactivated

I am using an AMD 64x2 Dual Core Processor 4600+ 2.4GHz processor with 3 GB RAM.  My OS is Windows 7 32-bit.  I have a subscription to 3-User Internet Security which is set to expire in Decebmer of 2011.  I have 1 extra license available without this computer's license.  My software says that it is deactivated.  I have logged onto My Account on McAfee and it shows that this computer was activated.  I had multiple instances of this computer in my subscription.  Most were deactivated 1 was not.  I thought that the multiple instances may be interferring with the subscription so I uninstalled McAfee on this computer then I renamed the computer and reinstalled McAfee on my computer.  When the software first loaded it said that it was good, then a few seconds later the software said that my software is deactivated.   I logged onto my account and found this instance of my newly named computer in the subscription list.  The list says that my computer is active.  So I checked for updates, but the software still came up saying that it is deactivated although the subscription list says otherwise.  I ran the McAfee Virtual Technician but the Virtual Technician found no errors.  I then tried to check for updates again.  It still says that the software is deactivated.  I waited a day after installation then checked for updates again but still I get the same software is deactivated message.  I tried to do the free chat but I never got a response.  Please help.

Re: My McAfee 3-User Internet Security says it's deactivated

Hello Tim,

I did check your account information, like you said I could see that you have 3-User McAfee Internet Security with 6 licenses and it’s installed in 5 computers. The computer names which are shown below are still Active:

1.    MOM

2.    LAPTOP

3.    TIM-HP

4.    TIM-OLD

5.    PC-TIM

However, there are 5 other computers which are De-Activated (as listed below).

1.    TIM-PC

2.    LAPTOP

3.    Tim-PC

4.    TIM-PC

5.    TIM-PC

So please let us know which are the computers that you are using right now, so that we shall de-activate the others accordingly.

Thank you for the reply.  The computers that are marked active are what I am currently using.  The deactivated ones, I am not.

I have made few changes in your account information, please right click on the affected computer and click on Verify Subscription. Let me know if you still have any issues...

Re: My McAfee 3-User Internet Security says it's deactivated

I was able to get the subscription verified.  But my software says that I need to buy a new subscription or reactivate the software or I will not be protected in 7 days.  I still see that Tim-PC is active.  Which is what I want.  I also want it to stay active.  I have checked for updates and also tried to reverify my subscription still with the same results.  Why is this occurring?

Re: My McAfee 3-User Internet Security says it's deactivated

One quick question is it occurring only with Tim-PC? Also please follow this KB Doc ID:TS100966 and let me if this helps you…

Re: My McAfee 3-User Internet Security says it's deactivated

Your solution worked but only temporarily.  Within a few days I had to reverify my subscription.  Which it did and said that my software was up to date and secure.  A few days after that (just the other day), my software told me that it is deactivated.  But it is still active on my McAfee account.  I tried to reverify my subscription.  The software tells me that the subscription has been verified but never tells me that it is secure just that I need to reactivate it.  But it is.  This is only occuring with PC-Tim.  All of my other computers are fine.  I have never had this account selected to deactivate, I have even tried to reactivate the software but with no success.
