I have gotten a 12 month subscription for the McAfee Internet Security Suite from Sky, and I cannot install it at all. I have removed Norton that was pre-installed and have ran the tool to remove anything left behind from the McAfee software I had from college.
The message reads:
You must restart your computer before reinstalling McAfee products.
What is going on?
I run Vista on a HP Compaq Presario CQ60.
This can be caused when files are left behind from the previous installation or when you run the McAfee Consumer Products Removal Tool (MCPR).
Right-click Start and select Explore.
Navigate to the appropriate location below:
Windows Vista and 7: C:\ProgramData\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
Locate and delete a file similar to this example: $McRebootA5E6DEAA56$.
NOTE: This filename varies, the numbers after $McReboot will be slightly different.
Reinstall your McAfee software.

If you have tried but not had any success with the recomendation from Dinz, I would suggest you contact McAfee Customer Support and they should be able to provide you information concerning activating your software from Sky broadband
