May I know what is the incompatible software detected during the installation ?
Along with provide some details of the computer like;
What is the operating system ; (win xp/vista)?
What type of internet connection you use (dsl/wireless) ?
Do you have any other security software installed ?
AVG 7.5 516 Virus Scan is showing to be incompatible.
no other security software is installed that I am aware of.
Instructions For Removal AVG 7.x
How to uninstall AVG 7.x:
- Download this AVG utilty and run it to remove the registy settings ( if running Vista or Windows 7: remember to right-click on it and choose "Run as Administrator"):
Then restart and remove all of the AVG related files from computer:
- for Windows XP/2000:
C:\Documents and settings\All users\Application data\Grisoft
C:\Documents and settings\All users\Application data\AVG7
C:\Documents and settings\<user>\Application data\AVG7
- for Windows Vista:
C:\ProgramData\Grisoft or AVG7
If that doesn't help try the following:
Go to Start/Run and enter regedit hit the Enter key.
HKEY LOCAL MACHINE/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/WINDOWS/CURRENTVERSION/UNINSTALL
Look for any entries in that key that pertain to AVG and/or Grisoft and delete them. Be very careful to only delete those entries and none of the others.Message was edited by: Ex_Brit on 16/02/10 4:36:06 EST PM
Sorry to hear that. Unless Manoj_Ar comes up with something I suggest you use the Technical Support Chat which is available through the Useful Links at top of this page, or through the McAfee Support link.
Mention the previous support number and that the batch file failed.Message was edited by: Ex_Brit on 16/02/10 6:40:02 EST PM
I have been there already and they excalated me to Tier2 with McAfee and that is why I am on here now. What would be another option? This service is paid for and it needs to be installed asap.
