How to uninstall McAfee on Windows 8

Hey I tried to uninstall McAfee on my new laptop, a ASUS, with Windows 8. I tried de removal software RCM something whatever what it is, but guess what didn't worked!?!?!

How it is possible to be that complicated to uninstall a software?!?!? I don't want McAfee, it was there without any permission when I bought my computer... I didn't want and I still don't want it. And everytime that I try the support center by chat it say an error message.

So please, can you be professionnal for once, and stop being thieves and parasites on our computers guys!?!

I hate McAfee, I don't trust McAfee, I don't want anything from you guys and it start to get on my nerves...

Re: How to uninstall McAfee on Windows 8

Do you know the actual name of the software?   McAfee makes a lot of different types of software so the removal tool may not apply in this case.

The name should be listed in Programs and Features.

But if it's Family Protection or Anti-Theft then it can't be removed without certain measures being taken.

Please indicate if it's one of those.

Re: How to uninstall McAfee on Windows 8

By the way the Support Portal relies on Internet Explorer being at default settings regardless of your preference for browser, and in Windows 8, IE10 needs to be set to "Compatibility View" for all websites

See this Window 7 Tutorial (also applies to Windows 8) http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html
