Removal? It has never been there i past 6 years at least we mods have been banging our heads trying to get a copy and paste functionality in about.
Unless I have missed an option.
Sorry, I was unclear. At work we have McAfee VirsuScan Enterprise and at home I now have McAfee Total Protection. The former has an "About" with an excellent "copy to clipboard" button. The latter a stupid picture that you have to screen-dump.
So I think we are in total agreement, McAfee please give us the copy button.
Hi , yes this is true that the disable/enable fast start up doesn't work for me, i thought it did until i booted up again and it just reappeared. i would rather turn it off completely rather than have obtrusive "adware type" pop ups.
I am getting the interface upon startup NOT using windows 10.. using windows 8.1
As a above poster commented I don't want to have to close this application EVERY time I start up the computer.. this is reason alone for me not to purchase this product in the future... please post if there is a real work around. Turning off fast start is not consistently doing it.
I have also been having this problem for a few days now and as all before me have only been able to stop it temporarily. I would expect it from 'Free Software' that imposes pop ups and adverts but NOT from subscription software. It is invasive and unwanted. I am prepared to uninstall and go elsewhere if this is not resolved despite almost one years subscription left.
Same problem here. I can't imagine the amount of people who will get really confused about the window appearing as it was witchcraft* and for no reason at all. I'd probably first think it's malware that copies the mcafee software rather than mcafee reminding me it's there.
Therefore I can hardly see it as a "feature", I guess it's more like an unintended bug. I can't imagine an UX engineer taking that decision. Moreover, why would mcafee add a "fast startup" mode when it then makes you loose time closing the app? And not making an option to disable such "feature"... Probably a bug, maybe related to some windows update.
I hope it's fixed soon, let's see what the manager replies!
It reminds me of the constant popup telling me to select the "safe search", it was really annoying... I think it's fixed because I have not seen it for a while, but I always thoight that if I didn't select the safe search, I made it on purpose. So there's no need for it to keep it reminding me (and making the default option as the selected one...). If I wanted to select it afterwards, I can find for it.
Thank you for keeping us posted peacekeeper!
re those words yes spammers use that word or at least used to. My boot this morning was clear strange. Fast boot was in the program for past 1 year or more
