I live out in the country and have a dial-up connection to the internet. Never had a problem until about 7 days ago. The particular main page does come up, but when I click on something else on that page...it does not come up. Also the connection has slowed down even more. The ATT dial-up tech said to disable Mcafee, when I did, everything got back to normal, everything connects and has speeded up to dial-up "speed".The tech said it is a mcafee issue, contact them. Can't run computer without Mcafee but if I enable it, can't connect and slows down. Any help is greatly appreciated. Already tried the 866#,virtual tech,and online chat
I'm just responding to you until one of the McAfee mentors can answer your questions. Perhaps we can get their attention together. Do you have any other security software on your computer?
Do you have Windows firewall on and, active right now ? If not please do that immediately.
