I Have installed Windows 7 Ultimate latley but decided i wanted to run the 64 bit version rather than the 32 bit.. Unfortunatly McAfee does not Actively run on the 32bit version of Internet Explorer 8 (While running the 64 bit windows 7) [Though it declares it-self as running in the properties menu.]
Is their a way to get McAfee to Actively run on the 32 Bit version of IE 7 (In the 64 bit installed windows) ?
The reason i ask, is because programs like Flash Player does not work on the 64bit version of Windows: i would like to know what site is and is not safe to click on with both 32 and 64 bit versions of Internet Explorer 8.
In advance, Thanks for your help.
I can only go by what Windows help sites say and they pretty-well all say to not use the 64-bit version of IE. There are very few add-ons that do come in 64-bit flavour. Wait awhile and that will probably change.
I forgot to add that SiteAdvisor should work fine on IE x86 (32-bit).Message was edited by: Ex_Brit on 11/21/09 1:33 PM
