Today when I auto update my security suite, I think the update helps me update into 2011 version,
after restart I saw the new interface(it should be 2011 I guess),
but when I try to auto update again, it have an update tells me need restart my pc, so I click restart,
I used to have an habbit to press check update again after some big install to see if my suite is up to date,
somehow after restart and I found the update keep downloading and tell me restart again,
I have try few times but it seems it still happens.
See if I can get a way to slove this or I should wait for next update?
My OS is Vista and the suite version is Version:11.0 Build:11.0.572
and the Virus scan version is DAT 6429
Thanks a lot

I guess basiclly fixed? Today I update complete to DAT6430 (just as usual update don't need to restart) and no more restart computer required.
Not really I think, but thanks anyway
The main porblem is, even if you have the newest update installed, when you check for auto update it should tell you "your computer is up to date", and it shouldn't show you have new update install and ask you to restart PC again. I am not sure if you check for update is that also have the same issue keep telling you have update and keep ask you restart after install.
If you are stuck in an update/restart loop it's probably because the software has been corrupted somehow.
The solution is to uninstall in the normal manner via Control Panel/Programs/Uninstall a Program
Clean up the remnants if any using the MCPR cleanup tool listed under Useful Links at the top of this page and reboot immediately.
Reinstall from your online account.
Thanks, I will give a try
But it seems the link on the top for MCPR cleanup tool not working?
See if I can get a link for download this?
Oh I wonder why? It worked OK for me.
Link to FAQ is: http://service.mcafee.com/FAQDocument.aspx?lc=1033&id=TS100507
and to the actual download for the removal tool: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe
