I leave my computer on at night. I woke it this morning (Sunday 9-25-16) to find that my background is now the Win 10 default. There's a notice in Action Center that says,
"We've turned on Windows Defender. Your version of McAfee Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware is incompatible with this version of Windows. Do you want to keep using Windows Defender, or update McAfee Ant-Virus?"
Has anyone ran into this? Is it something I should be concerned about?
We've had this version of McAfee Total Protection on for several months and no issues. Updates are current. It's my roommates and is for several computers. His computer hasn't got this notice so far.
Any help or advice is appreciated.
I ran Virtual Tech. It finished and said fixed as well as 'Update trusted Microsoft Certificates'. I guess that's what the update button with the original notice was for. I clicked that and did restart. So far, no notice returning and Win Def is off.
Thanks Peter M for the quick response. Much appreciated. Anything else pop up I'll hollar.
Also keep in mind that in (Windows 10) Windows Defender is not compatible with McAfee/or any Anti-Virus Application. As unlike any OS before it's introduction contains Anti-Virus capabilities. Hence running (2) RTS Modules will cause conflicts and clashes.

Can I ask please whether this device upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 some time between September 2015 and January 2016?
