Activating McAfee total protection

Hi, I recently used my backup cd because my McAfee Total Protection didn't download right so I put in my backup cd and it reinstalled it. Then it said i had 15 days to activate it and I've been trying to activate and it keeps saying Please wait while we connect to and it just keeps doing that. Then I tried using the McAfee Virtual Technician and it says that it cannot find McAfee products on your system. And my McAfee says that my computer is at risk. So what do I do?

Your installation must be corrupted and I would suggest you uninstall via Add/Remove programs and rebbot the computer. Then you should go to Useful Links at the top of this page and use the MCPR removal tool which will complertely remove any remaining traces of the McAfee software that failed to completely remove via the normal uninstall and reboot again. Next step is to login to your online McAfee account and download and install your software. This should resolve your issue for you.
