problems using Customprops

Jump to solution

I’m trying to use the CustomProps option to tag new machines. I used the command:  FrmInst.exe /CustomProps1="Property 1" to add the custom property on the client machine then I created a new tag in the tag catalog of the ePO. I reboot my client machine and I even update the Agent on the client site but my client machine is not getting tag. Is like the ePO is not able to read the information on the customProps1.

I’m working with ePO 4.6 and windows XP

Anyone had encounter this problem?

Is it even writing the registry keys on the local machines?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Network Associates\ePolicy Orchestrator\Agent\customprops

If it is, it might be on the ePO side

I got it working, I run this command and it works:

"C:\Program Files\McAfee\Common Framework\CmdAgent.exe" /P

Thanks for your help.

A more simple way could be to run the script i wrote and posted here.  What kind of data are you populating in the fields.  I might be able to write something custom for you.  Currently my script queries the computer make, model, serial and case type and pulls that into epo.
