Re: Unix Vdat file

Hi,

Since it's V6.0, please take a look at knowledge base article KB67513 - 'Downloading the AVV-Dat package for use with VirusScan Command Line 6.0 (VSCL)'.

This covers all the options.

Use the 'Search the Knowledge Base' link here:

https://mysupport.mcafee.com/eservice/Default.aspx

and plug in the KB number.

Rgds,

Rob.

Re: Unix Vdat file

So I was able to download the knowledge base article, and I've downloadded the avvdat files.

Is there an article for th install instructions for Red Hat Linux 5.x?

Re: Unix Vdat file

Hi,

The instructions are in the KB (KB67513).

Extract the contents and copy them to the installation directory of the VirusScan Command Line Scanner to replace the existing files.
The next time the Command Line Scanner is executed, it will utilize the new DATs.

That really is all there is to it.

Rgds,

Rob.
