It is McAfee virus scan enterprise edition, version 126.96.36.1999, according to uvscan --version.

If you're getting a core dump and to know it's from using vscl (ViruScan Command Line) you would need to open a support case.
Only our dev guys can analyse a core dump for this product.
If you're looking how to force a core dump on AIX, you'll need to refer to IBM on-line documentation.

In the mean time please note that V6.0.3 is current, not V6.0.0.
Finally core dump is quite unusual, suggest you make sure you are excluding /proc & /dev filesystems from scanning. it's never a good idea to try scanning direct unix I/O.

We had a core dump from McAfee Viruscan fill /root. So I am trying to determine if I can change the configuration of the software to write dumps to other locations.
1) Can anyone send me a link to a Viruscan command line document, version 6.0.0 or newer?
2) Can anyone send me a link on how to open a support ticket for future reference, and how that is entitled (what authentication will I need to open a ticket, serial numbers, customer numbers, etc)?
