Is MCafee supported on Red Hat Linix 3.0? Thanks.

Hi,

We are running web applications deployed on Red Hat Linux 3.0.  Can someone please tell me if MCafee is supported on this platform?  Thanks.

Hi,

I have moved your post to the VirusScan other forum for better attention.

I don't use Linux but having a nosey about the site- maybe this is what you are looking for:

Have a look at the system requirements for this

Thanks for sharing the MCafee page for Linux.  I do not need to have MCafee automatically scan viruses for every file that is newly saved on the file system but only need the DAT file to be regularly updated so that our own applications can execute the scanning when necessary.  I have MCafee 5.101 installed but recently the DAT file format was changed and I can no longer update the DAT file.  Unfortunately for Red Hat Linux 3.0, MCafee does not seem to support it any more.  Is there a way for me to somehow update the DAT file still under this circumstance?  Thanks.

The VirusScan command line scanner v6.0.3 readme

https://kc.mcafee.com/resources/sites/MCAFEE/content/live/PRODUCT_DOCUMENTATION/22000/PD22661/en_US/...

have a read to see if yours fits the sys reqs.
