credentials for network devices - where and how these get stored

I was just qurious - where and how the credentials for network devices get stored? Is that the backend db server and is it stored encrypted?

Netwrok devices have its own database to store configuration and user information. The default database is MySQL if your Analytics database backend is SQL Server. The tables are integrated with Solidcore if Oracle database backend is used for Analytics.

I see user passwords are encrypted using MD5. You should submit a SR with McAfee Support if this infomration is available.

Is it - all the running/startup config copy, everything goes to backend DB also?
