Upgrade Application Control 8.2.1.143 to 8.2.1.435

Jump to solution

Do I need to run the re-solidify command after I upgrade Application Control from version 8.2.1.143 to 8.2.1.435 ?  Please let me know.  I may upgrade in Update mode or just leave in Enable mode for the upgrade.  (Windows 10 1809 and Windows Server 2008R2, 2012R2 systems)

Thanks

Typically to upgrade Solidcore you do not need to put Solidcore into a specific mode. You can just upgrade it even in enable mode.

However due to this known issue KB91257, it is advised to re-solidfy after this upgrade. Typically this step is not needed.

Thanks. Ok, I reviewed the KB.

This command is a one liner right or is it multiple commands?

It's five separate commands in the SC:RunCommands client task.

Or Run commands separately

Hello, are there still issues with 8.2.1.435 with new installations and or upgrades?

According to KB91257 the issues are resolved in 8.2.1.435 along with 8.2.6/8.3 extensions.

Is that the case?

And do I still need to resolidfy after upgrading to 821.435, if I have 8.3 extensions.

There's a BSOD issue and a memory leak issue with that version of Solidcore. You might want to wait for the next patch which should be out next month.
