Re: System is solidified but status shows unsolidifed

Hello There!,

Please check the following registry:

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\swin\Parameters\

Locate the key: IsSystemVolumeSolidified

If the machine is solidified, it updates this registry key.

If the registry value is:

0 - Unsolidified

1- Solidified

Please update me on the findings and I ll provide you steps to troubleshoot further.

Re: System is solidified but status shows unsolidifed

Hello SecurePower,

If the system is solidified, Could you please could you please if scinv file is created which is inventory file under this location : C:\Solidcore\scinv

There could be chances as kishore said earlier in post that to check the registry HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\swin\Parameters\

Locate the key: IsSystemVolumeSolidified
If the machine is solidified, it updates this registry key.

If the registry value is:
0 - Unsolidified
1- Solidified

In the registry if it shows 1 then kindly restart the system once and see if it shows you right status. If still doesnt work then kindly send the gatherinfo logs so we can check or you can try removing the application control completely from the system, then try installing the 8.2.1 Update 5 on the system and see if it works.

Hope this will help you.

Re: System is solidified but status shows unsolidifed

Thank you for updating!

If after installing the latest version of the product, you still see that the registry entry is not created, please try creating the registry and let me know if it allows you to do so.

Please ensure to take a back up of the registry before you proceed further

Create a new DWORD under:

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\swin\Parameters

Name the key as: IsSystemVolumeSolidified and set the Hexadecimal to 1

Please share with me the results.
