Solidcore for Linux 6.3.x compatiblity with Red Hat Kernel Release of 2.6.32-754.17.1.el6.x86_64

Jump to solution

McAfee has not made any effort to expedite the release of compatible versions of Solidcore for Linux for the Red Hat Kernel releases. Red Hat is soon to release their latest Red Hat Kernel release of 2.6.32-754.23.1.el6.x86_64 for RHEL 6.x. McAfee only provides official support for the Red Hat Kernel release of 2.6.32-754.14.2.el6.x86_64 on August 13, 2019. At this point, McAfee should consider offloading Solidcore for Linux to another vendor like they did for Encrypted USB. The current rate of Solidcore for Linux compatible version releases to the Red Hat Kernel releases is "poor". The problem outlined is a nationwide problem that should have the utmost attention. When is there going to be official support for the Red Hat Kernel release of 2.6.32-754.17.1.el6.x86_64? Nobody knows, thus trying to attain the information from KB91587 for the status of upcoming McAfee Product Releases is no longer working for me. The issue expressed is a serious one and detrimental to any large Enterprise that relies on a poorly supported product. McAfee needs to heighten the efforts in resolving this issue!
