Solidcore Disadble to observe mode reboot issue

Task assigned from ePO Disable to Observe mode successfuly but it required soldicore client reboot, but it has no option auto reboot the cliend, it has mannuly reboot requied on solidcore client system to come on observe mode ... how its possible if we are working multiple client systems.

Thank you for your post. I am afraid remote restart is not an available feature with us as of now. i.e, we do not have a way to issue a reboot command for the endpoint from the ePO. I would like to request you to post this as a suggestion/idea as per https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB60021

Having said that you can alternatively have the McAfee Solidifier Service restarted to enable Observe mode partially, however, A complete machine reboot is mandatory at this point and it can be done via scripts or locally but not via ePO.

Hi Athianyan actually I dont want to reboot solidcore client machine from epo for any other purpose but as i have mentioned it was showing reboot required while doing solidcore disable to observe mode after reboot.

So let us know can we mssing any reboot option within the task while assigning or solidcore client

Thank you for your kind response.

Reboot required for disabled mode to observe mode by Application Control is expected behavior. However, there is no way currently available to perform this via the task and the machine does not automatically reboot as well. Reboot must be performed manually on the endpoints.

Did you try to run command from ePO as client task:

ssreboot -t 10 -m "Rebooting machine"

from "Solidcore 8.2.1 > SC: Run Commands > Solidcore 8.2.1 > SC: Run Commands"?

ssreboot is command that can be used to reboot machine with Solidcore via ePO where:

ssreboot -> command to reboot

-t 10 -> time to reboot in seconds in our case machine will reboot 10s after task is executed

-m "some test" -> pop-up window with message for user.

Please try this and let me know results.
