Separating solidcore inventory

Hi,

Recently we started to collect inventory for both workstation and servers, however we notice that under inventory -> by application. All the binary is group together.

Is there any way we can separate this 2 group of inventory so they are not white listed together?

I look through the filters, but there is no "tag" in the filter.

Thanks

Do you want a separate view based on Groups or tags?

Separate by tag would be preferred if it is possible

Re: Separating solidcore inventory

Zack,

There is no way to get this view from Inventory Page but there is a way to get this information through Reports.

You may still need to do some  normalization over those reports.

If that is something of interest I can upload a video of that.

Let me know.

Thanks,

Re: Separating solidcore inventory

Hi Neelima,

I do have the report, however in the report view I cannot classified the binaries into [Good] / [Bad].

Reason is, after we separate the permission set in ePO and Solidcore, the "By Application" tab in the Inventory page will be hidden for those without full access to the system tree, hence doing the classification using "By Application" is not helpful in a big setup.

Would it be possible to add an "action button" in the report view to "Mark as Good / Bad"?

I'm not too sure how customization works in ePO.

Thanks!

Re: Separating solidcore inventory

Zack,

Unfortunately, that is not possible through reports.

For taking actions, the use-case has to be fulfilled by the MAC extension.

Can you file a PER for this on Accept portal?

Thanks,

Hi Neelima,

Thanks for your reply. I will submit this as a PER.

Zack.
