Quick Settings/App Control Events - after clearing list, events keep returning

Greetings,

Installed MACC 8.2.1.143 on Win2012R2 server

I open CmdAgent Client Console to review events (Quick Settings/App Control Events).  I Remove or Clear List.  Upon re-opening console, all previously cleared events (with old timestamp) show up again.

Anyone experienced this?

Thank you

products installed:   Agent 5.0.6.220,  ENS 10.6.1

Re: Quick Settings/App Control Events - after clearing list, events keep returning

Hi,

It does happen till the time all the old generated events does not get listed here.

This does not mean the ones which you cleared have reappeared, its the ones which are in cache and waiting to get populated in the window.

Regards

Re: Quick Settings/App Control Events - after clearing list, events keep returning

Thank you.   Indeed it's not a big deal but annoying when reviewing.

I only recently noticed this when installing McAfee Application Control on server.

On my windows 10 computers,  "Remove" and "Clear List" means what it says; The events are removed from cache and don't show up again.

Re: Quick Settings/App Control Events - after clearing list, events keep returning

Hi,

I understand, but till the time already generated events dont popup it will be the case.

S what can be done is, keep it open for sometime and wait till event population finishes. Then clear the list.

Re: Quick Settings/App Control Events - after clearing list, events keep returning

Same issue happens for me. On Windows 10, the events clear. But on Windows Server 2012 they clear, and when I reopen they are back. Even if only 1 event is displayed. I've waited for any events in cache to populate.. Same issue.

Please open a case with support. We will be glad to understand and help fix why the cache doesnt clear on older versions of windows.
