We are running on CentOS 7.9 with McAfee Solidifier 6.4.8. We noticed that when we mount an ntfs-formatted USB jumpdrive, that the 'df' command hangs. Also, we cannot fully unmount it using 'udevil umount /dev/<device>'. It still shows up in the output of the mount command but not in lsblk or blkid.
When we disable McAfee solidifier and reboot, there are not problems.
Then we re-enabled McAfee Solidifier and rebooted. Insertion of the ntfs-formatted usb jumpdrive causes problems such as making df hang. Other processes hang as well such as attempting to write to the mount point.
We looked through the solidcore logs and this is what we saw:
3 2021:14:51:35.760: ERROR: scan_unix_user.c: 236: Failed to get attributes of volume '/media/sdc1-usb-JetFlash_Transce'.err = 107.
This only occurs with ntfs formatted drives. fat32 and vfat work fine. Furthermore, we didn't see anything in the logs saying solidcore prevented any sort of execution. It seems to be blocking mount of ntfs-formatted usb jumpdrives.
Is there something about ntfs that prevents solidcore from getting this information?
