McAfee Application Control (Standalone) aquires huge amount of memory (Memory Leak?)
McAfee Application Control 220.127.116.11
OS: Windows Embeded Standard 7 (32Bit) (4GB RAM)
Hardware: RAID1 (3 partitions NTFS), CFast-Card (FAT32) via USB 3.0
The CFast card is connected permanently with the PC and contains installation and backup data. It's kept unsolidified while the 3 partitions of the RAID1 are solidified. The scsrv.exe allocates more and more memory, up to 1,5GB. As a result the system becomes instable and the sadmin commandline does not respond any more. The memory allocation stops as soon as the CFast card is removed.
Some additional remarks:
- The problem persists when I use the current version SOLIDCOR800-950_WIN
- Adding the external drive to the skiplist helps regarding the memory issue but makes the system unsafe.
- Nevertheless it seems that memory that has once been aquired is not freed, according to the Windows Task Manager, the general direction of memory used by scsrvc.exe is upwards.
