I am not sure why am i getting this error, i have always ensured that i am the only one connected to client. Also i always run one task at a time and wait for its completion before running another one, still i have this error.
When i run "Begin Initial Observe Mode" to initiate solidification process , this is the only task running on client trying to solidify the system. I don't understand why is mcafee solidcore trying to run another so command when it is already running an instance of the same for solidification process?
I start getting this error "Another command [so] is already running" after "Begin Initial Observe Mode" task runs for 30-40 mins and then this error keeps repeating itself
This means that a solidification task (either via SC:Enable task, SC:RunCommand task, or local execution of 'sadmin so") is already running on the system. This is typically ran by the SC:Enable task which should be used to activate the MACC License on the system (if not done during the installation) and start the solidification process. No other tasks can be ran on the MACC client until the SC:Enable task is finished (solidification can run for a while (usually an hour or more depending on the amount of files to be solidified on the local system hard disks).
""Begin Initial Observe Mode" to initiate solidification process"
I'm not exactly what this task is (it may be a SC:Enable task with a custom name), but as mentioned before, use the SC:Enable client task to start the solidification process. This will add the MACC license to the client, put the system into Update or Observe mode (depending on the SC:Enable task config), then start the solidification process. If the SC:Enable task is ran with Observe mode selected, then the MACC client should already be in Observe mode while solidification is running.
