After enabling memory protection in stand alone Application control 6.1.3 few use cases failing

Hello,

In our application we are using Application control from past few years with memory protection disabled.

For new reuirements we have enabled memory protection (mp).

But on enabling mp, one use case is failing.

Please find the log (example):

K.11192.11952: Oct 17 2014:15:58:45.074:   SYSTEM: vasr_hooks.c:  304: Relocating \Device\HarddiskVolume1\abc.dll from adress 0000000010000000 inprocess \Device\HarddiskVolume1\xyz.exe

Please let me know how do i whitelist dll and make use case work with mp enabled.

Bharat,

What is the end result you are seeing? You will definitely get faster result if you file a support case for this issue.

Re: After enabling memory protection in stand alone Application control 6.1.3 few use cases failing

Hi Neelima, Decompression of images fails on memory protection enabled. Decompression is handled by abc.dll (third party dll) and it is called by other dll (test.dll - our application dll) through xyz.exe (backend). We have tried following command for which use case passed. sadmin attr add -n xyz.exe xyz.exe serves as backend for our application so we dont want to bypass complete backend. Is there any way to bypass only affected dll?

Bharat,

I recommend filing a support case. They sould be able to troubleshoot and find a workaround it.
