QQ about ATD VM

Jump to solution

Hi Heroes,

Just curious - after I created a VM profile with 2 licenses and after the VM creation is done. Does ATD actually creates 2 LVM VM instances? I mean just like VMware Workstation ATD creates 2 REAL VMs.

Furthermore, If I want to shutdown one of the VMs, is it possible? I saw there has a "vm destroy" command, but seems the destroyed VM will initialize again few minutes later.

HI onedayoneapple

The number of licenses you enter in the VM Profile page of ATD,  reflects the number of scanning VM's created in the backend of ATD that will be available for sample analysis.

So if you have 8vm's in vATD you can run dynamic analysis on 8 samples at a time.
