Linux home directories scan - syntax - mvision

Is there a variable that can be called to call distinct user from whatever Linux machine is being scanned?  In other words say /data/testuser? Something like /data/$USER or the like.  I have it set to scan all mapped drives which include the base /data dir where all home dirs are, so i will have to set it to exclude the /data root scan.   however I don't want that scanned as that's all users and over a 100TB.  I know I could break inheritance of the policy and hardcode each user for each machine but this is a lot of work and would have to be for all new users.
