ATD file types - Java

Hello everyone, 

On the documentation it is mentioned that ATD 4.14 supports java file type(.jar ,.class, .js & java bin files). however the ATD shows files.jar as a not supported file type. 

Is there away to add this to the file type via CLI? if not, is there another solution?

Hi OL,

Please make sure that filetypefilter is activated from CLI

Open ATD backend using putty session on port 2222, the login with cliadmin then type this command to verify if filetypefilter is on

filetypefilter status

If it's off then type the following

filetypefilter enable

I have enabled filetypefilter. will this allow to add more file types or update the existing list?

ATD still mark files with .jar extension as not supported.

Are you sure it is an actual JAR file and not just a file with the .jar extension?  ATD looks at the true file type, not just the extension.
