That would be now titled "Recent Content" and can be the first thing you see if your tailor your default homepage accordingly.
There are tutorials here: http://community.mcafee.com/community/help/getting_started
and in particular this one: http://community.mcafee.com/docs/DOC-1012 which shows you how to personalize "Your View".
You can also tailor an RSS feed as a widget for unanswered posts, but the snag is that this board regards "unanswered" posts as those not manually marked as having been answered (i.e. solved) by whomever posted it, or by us.
See this tutorial too: http://community.mcafee.com/docs/DOC-1052
Whilst there isn't a view that will give you only unanswered posts it is the nearest thing, I, like you, would like to see that and we have asked about it.
I'm no expert here, I'll flag this to have a McAfee person answer you if you wish.
Thanks for the input...I did notice "Recent Content" shows new posts but it only shows one page worth..if you don't check back every day (multiple times) there can be much more than one page. I am not sure I like this format. I frequent a *lot* of forums and "New posts" is really the only/best way to find out what is new and be sure you're not missing anything. I'll check out the links you posted though. I may have to do the RSS feeds on my blackberry just so I know to look at specific new topics.
I'll echo Peter's comment about our RSS feeds for finding new posts.
For every communinity, there are a series of RSS feeds. These are accessible by clicking the 'View Feeds' link on the right under Notifications. The page looks like this:
The particular feed you're interested in is called "Discussion Messages".
For instance, to see every new post in the entire commuity, you would use
Each community has a unique numerical ID. For instance, for ePO posts only, you would use:
If you don't have a feed reader, for instance Google Reader, you can drag and drop an RSS widget on the Your View tab on the main page. (Click Personalize first.) This is where advanced users spend most of their time.
I know. It's different / harder finding new posts here in some ways.
Now, one feature we did turn on is called "unread posts". What this does is make the items BOLD that you have not read on the Discussions tab.
However, it's only functional on the Discussions tab and most people probably don't navigate there too often. Between this and the feed reader, you shouldn't miss anything...
Sorry for the change in functionality.
