McAfee QA certifies each of the Microsoft Patches monthly starting after Patch Tuesday. They check any of the patches that are relevent to the MVM Appliance OS (only Windows 2003 at the moment).
We usually get the results of the testing about 7-10 days after Patch Tuesday, and put the updates on the WSUS server then.
The patch in question (MS12-020) was put on the WSUS server about an hour ago.
I hope that helps!
Just to clarify the above, what happens with 2008 updates? Do they just get released as is without any QA or does the FS WSUS only provide 2003 updates?
Until McAfee releases a Win2K8 *image* we will not be testing/certifying any of the MS Patches.
So, yes - the only updates that are currently pushed by our WSUS are Win2K3.
