One sector decrypted and encrypted again, in the area of disk that is not too sensitive, should be fine. I would pick one sector close to the last encrypted sector, but not the last one.
Better still would be if McAfee fixes this bug.
In response to your statement, if I decrypt, I can see the contents. Its only when I have it encrypted that I cannot see the contents as well as when I try to do the workspace decrypt. I have not tried the Crypt Sector method yet. I will keep you posted.
I used Simon's script and updated the files so that it is using the new A43 File Management Utility. Basically I just downloaded the files from the A43 website and replaced the ones in his directory tree with the new ones.
If I now boot into the Wintech cd authorize and authenticate I can use the A43 Utility and see the contents of the drive without doing a decrypt or anything. You have to authorize and authenticate or else the C drive shows no content like before. Someone else give this a try and see if they get the same results.
I am using EEPC 6.1 beta refresh so I want to see if the new A43 utility is what did the trick or if it was the beta refresh.
I know its late but for anybody else who is looking, the V6.1beta refresh and the a34 upgrade fixes this issue.
Do you still run EEPC v6.1 beta? I thought that it already expired.
Hi all, i authorized and authenticated on EE Tech, but i can not use Remove EE button. Can you show me how to make disk offline with diskpart command? Thanks!
