Intel Security’s guideline is to maintain a Patch level that is no more than 12 months old, or in other words, apply a patch update at least once per year. Beyond that, make the decision based on our Patch Rating* assigned to that release and on review of the resolved issues in the release documentation. Some trepidation toward the Patching task is to be expected. To assist in preparing you to take on this task, always refer to the Supported Platforms KB article followed by the Known Issues KB article for the Patch you plan to adopt.
