Note: File & Removable Media Protection (FRP) was previously known as Endpoint Encryption for Files & Folders (EEFF).
File & Removable Media Protection v4.3 is currently scheduled to release in Q2 2014.
- Large file support for Removable Media
Files of size > 4 GB are now supported on USB devices encrypted with “Allow/Enforce Encryption with offsite access (formerly EERM) ” options. So you can now copy large VM images or backup large .pst files to a USB device in a secure manner.
If you are an existing customer, here is a bonus : the container format is automatically upgraded when the device is inserted on to a v4.3 client, so you don’t need to format/reinitialize your existing encrypted devices !
- Mac OS X offsite application for Removable Media
You can now view/edit/copy files to and from encrypted USB devices on Mac OS X clients using the offsite application. This support is for USB devices encrypted with “Allow/Enforce Encryption with offsite access (formerly EERM)” options.
If you are an existing customer, here is an additional bonus : the Mac offsite application is automatically added when the device is inserted on to a v4.3 client, so you don’t need to format/reinitialize your existing encrypted devices !

Extend ePO managed McAfee File & Removable Media Protection capabilities to endpoints running Windows 8.1 and Windows 8.1 Update
