    Dear Customers

     

    At FOCUS 2012, McAfee announced the upcoming release of McAfee Endpoint Encryption for PCs/Mac version 7.0.

     

    This releases provide integration with Intel’s AMT technology and McAfee ePO Deep Command, Windows 8 support, performance improvements, and a wide array of new management and end user enhancements.

     

    Additionally, effective January 14, 2013, the two products McAfee Endpoint Encryption for PCs and McAfee Endpoint Encryption for Mac will be combined into a single node product that can be used for a PC or Mac, and will be renamed McAfee Full Disk Encryption.

     

    What's New

    • Integration with Intel’s AMT technology and McAfee ePO Deep Command.

    McAfee ePO Deep Command uses Intel vPro Active Management Technology (AMT) to provide secure and remote security management of PCs that are powered off or disabled. Utilizing this technology, EEPC provides next generation security by for example, enabling secure patching of encrypted PCs even when the PC is powered off, allowing for secure contextual security or disabled PC password reset during preboot, and secure remote remediation even from half a world away.

    • Windows 8 support for PCs

    Support the latest Windows 8 operating system, including during uEFI boot process and for GPT drives.
